Are you an Malaysian 80's baby???

As I were surfing through the net a few months ago, this particular group in Facebook caught my eye, "Are you a MALAYSIAN 80's baby?!" Isn't it awkward to call ourselves the Malaysian 80's baby? Everything suddenly sounds so old...hehe...Okey back to the point. The group is mainly for those who are born in the 80's, like ME! Here's the copy of the description of the group, have a look guys.

>>Signs to show that you are an 80's baby:

We grew up watching Transformers, Thundercats, Woody Woodpecker, Chipmunks, Mickey Mouse, Jem, Mask, Ninja Turtles, Voltron, Baja Hitam, Ultraman n not forgettin POWER RANGERS and BUGS BUNNY!!!
It's really nice to get those memories back, I loved chipmunks so much...hehe...the theme song is still running in my head when I'm typing this! Oops...they missed out Sesame Street.

Have you ever had to brush our teeth during recess at primary school? had to hold plastic cups, line up with your classmates side by side and start brushing our teeth at some open area... or maybe near some drain??
Yea and the nurse would take a fake teeth model to show us how to brush our teeth every year! Thinking back, it's kinda gross spiting the foam of the toothpaste in the drain...yucks~ but yeah...tat was how our schooling days went.

Do you still remember that we had 'dentist' rooms where we had to have our teeth check?
Yea...and that scares me everytime!

not to forget our 'program minum susu' in primary school.. everybody is suppose to buy like cartons of milk that cost 30 cents each.. and you would see everyone drinking it everyday...its d UHT milk...
Yea and summore it's chocolate flavored! haha...I still remember my class teacher handing out papers taking orders for us and the class monitor will buy. The van comes ones in a while so I used to buy a lot of it at a time...hehe...If I'm not mistaken Nutrigen too did that kinda promotions too~

the teachers who would want to punish us must use yellow rulers to hit us on our palms?? 1 metre length...
yea...that is when she's run out of rotan...yellow ruler is better than slim rotans lar...not so painful...haha~ *yea...chinese primary school teaches are crazy!

that a bowl of mihun soup or some soup only cost 50 cents at the school canteen...
yea..mee soup...during primary 1 I still can get it for 30 cents...for me I still remember the 20-30 cents keropok where we ate it with chili inside! normally we would rush for the chili straight...it was so laku back then!

went to some sundry shop near the school or to the 'roti' man waiting outside our schools so that we can buy junk food like chickedees, mamee, ding dang with some toys in it, 'Ti Kam', ice-cream and we would play games like monopoly, uno, old maid, and all other card games like that...
Besides mamee, we still have choki-choki and ROTA! haha...it's so nice...nicer than apollo arh! For Malaccans like me who will forget the uncle cycling around town with a red box behind his bicycle to sell those 10 cents ice-cream (oh i like those white ones...if I'm not mistaken it's lychee flavoured!) and fish sate sticks! it's so nice....Haha...and old maid...wow...still remember playing it with my friends during children's day! I'm so old....unlike kids nowadays who play card games with fighting characters...

another fun time would be during Pendidikan Jasmani. the boys would play football while the girls would play netball... and it would be like we were playing in the world cup...
As I'm in a chinese primary school, PJ for me would be like playing basketball and other games like jumping rope and hula hoops.

but of course. the best would be main guli, batu seremban, bottlecaps, ice- cream sticks, 'Pepsi Cola one-two- three', Cops and Robbers, main aci duduk,getah... and for the not so active, those kind of 'book games' where we would use buku latihan to draw and ask our friends to play... and also dot (titik) where its like conquering the other party's dots? we use brains too rite :D
Wah that is so true lar...almost all the games I've played before...especially getah jumping ropes (tiao-sheng in chinese) and dot-dot (dien-dien in chinese) it is so so popular among my schoolmates! We would play the getah jumping ropes almost anytime lar...recess, after school, PJ's...anytime! and dot dot....haha...it's a game to pass time in the classroom...so nice lar...another games that is popular in my school those days were "da-shou" (hit hand?! direct translation from chinese...) We were divided in to 2 groups, one to guard and one to cross the line...hard to explain lar..but fun!

do you remember the Popsicles (ice- cream tubes) which are actually ice and colouring that are sold for 10 to 20 cents.. the colourful ones.. where you usually bite off the top to gulp it down.orange tastes b best...
yea...hehe...and we would break into half to share!

what about days when we felt like doing naughty things such as folding papers so small to make 'lastik' and shoot each other... how about throwing chalks??
haha...that's what boys did those days~ erm..yea...and don't forget those who the teacher asked them to write names on the board for those who are talkative. I mean for those who open their mouth oso kena! What kinda world is that! Are those teachers crazy then?!

back then, Micheal Jackson was just turning white.. and still had albums coming out.. compared to Cd's, we were listening to cassette tapes that sold for RM9.90...
yea...those were the days that we were discussing about he's famous NOSE!

in computer class, we were still using black and white computer monitors.. played 'Atari'... maybe SEGA or NINTENDO...
yea...and we were using MS-DOT for heaven sake! those black and white screened Nintendo Gameboy were famous at that time...and others were those China-made keyboard-like game...where we just stuck the tape on top of the keyboard to play! Compare to kids now who have hi-tech computers, PlayStation2 and X-box...they are so lucky :p

well, are we all getting older or what?
1) if you understand what you have read
and you are smiling...
2) we have friends from school that are
already married...
3) we shake our heads every time we
see high school students fussing about
their hand phones in school..
4) we don't hang on phone with our
friends for hours a day talking about
nothing...
5) when we meet back with our friends
from time to time, we feel excited and
happy talking about old times, the
funny 'adventures' or stories that we
experienced as a kid..
6) last but not least, that when you
read this, you would think of all the
happy & sad memories that you have
experienced when you were still a kid
and would think of forwarding this to
your old friends that you have known
since forever... I'm sure they would
have a huge smile on their face after
reading this.....

Yea people...we're all getting old and matured! :p

Try-it-on showroom

I've read this very interesting blog from Kennysia.com just a few minutes ago, about his hamster taking dinner with him in a hotel restaurant. Well, for those who has read this, yea...it's damn funny and just take a minute to peak at the comments will ya. It may show how sensitive and how "pat" (busybody) people nowadays. (yea I know...including me...and may be you too! haha...)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It's another boring afternoon, again me woke up around 11am with the ringing tone of my stupid handphone! Before I decided to stare at my laptop for the whole day AGAIN, bb date me for a car ride. How nice of him ><

After dropping by at Tesco to send out some of my mails, we went of to some exhaust shop at Malim. Now only I realise that we really can't look down on Ah Bengs, 'cuz some of them really did great jobs to make your car go vroom vroom and FLY!

Since we have the whole afternoon to spare, bb suggested that we drop by at his god sister's workplace at some furniture shop near Semabok Perdana. It's a 3-story high shop lots (yea...i do mean shop lotS...). This is no normal pasar-malam furniture shop with those a pek or aunties serving. From the outlook, it's well know for it's standard, but...who knows that we need to take off our shoes to get it!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The simple but laoyah (according to bb's god sis~) interior had made this place looks more classy. Even sofas here worth as much as RM13000! Who the hell will buys it?? hehe...But bb and I took the opportunity to try on everything.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Everything in here is almost the same as Ikea. The arranging of the furniture, the decoration, the tag, and even some of IT is from Ikea!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This furniture shop is damn good guys. No boss around, no CCTV. Just a lot of fire extinguisher and a fire alarm system that leads straight to the nearest fire department! Well, is there gonna be any fire around people??? hehe...And the sales assistant there..yea..they can sit and sleep where ever they want...how nice! hehe...If the pay were high enough, I would consider working there. Would you?

A day at Putrajaya

This morning I came up KL with bb again, due to mom's surgery that was suppose to be going on today, but ended up postponed to tomorrow morning. We reached KL around 11am, after taking a short nap (waiting for the visiting hours...), and off we went to Putrajaya.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This is not the first time I've been here. On the way to this beautiful town, all you can see are wide roads and highways.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The hand full amount of residents and huge infrastructures had made this town...kinda...quite~ The only thing that impress me the most are the architecture of the buildings. Seriously you can find all sorts of shapes here!

builings with holes?

nice design huh~

Since we are so free during the holidays and we are in Putrajaya, bb decided we take a stroll to ALAMANDA the only shopping complex in Putrajaya (I suppose! hehe...)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It's kinda like a small scale Mid-Valley. The design of the mall is nice, with lots of branded shops. But yet...I don't see a lot of people there. Oh yea and I spotted a shop selling cheap authentic ESPRIT clothes there. Most of the items not more than RM100. The cheapest is the tops for only RM19.90. haha...

Okey it's time to use your eyes and brain people!
Guess which part of the mall is this??? haha...

Beauty tip of the day

Hey girls, did you ever wondered how to make your eyelashes longer?

Well, yesterday when I was browsing through forums...as usual...I come across this very interesting topic. For those who know how to read chinese it sounds something like that

"VASELINE / 凡士林可以增长眼睫毛"
(Vaseline can lengthen eyelashes)

It does sound interesting, isn't it?
So coincidence that I've bought a bottle of Vaseline yesterday, I thought why not try it~
Thus, I apply it on my eyelashes yesterday night before going to bed.

Dummies step-by-step to pretty lashes :
1. Use the tip of your index finger to take up a small amount of Vaseline.
2. By using your thumb and your index finger, apply the Vaseline onto your upper lashes.
3. Be careful do not let Vaseline get into your eye, apply it to your lower lashes (the root part).
4. Do not apply Vaseline around your eye, 'cuz it may cause oil seeds.
5. Leave it over night.
6. And poof!!! Longer lash!!!

It does work girls...try it at home!
