Election fever everywhere...

8 March 2008 is a very important date for us Malaysians. Yup...It's election day! As the polling fever is the hottest thing now, talks are given by all parties almost every night to pull as much votes as possible to win the game.

I just came back from a talk given by the opposition site. Our women's pride Ms Fong Po Kwan was one of the speaker tonight. (she's really damn famous man! ka na at Jay Chao concert liddat arh~ Her influential status...was superb!) Several topics had been touched especially those regarding our country's economy, corruption and the ratio problem. It has made me realised that what an asshole I am for being so naive. Things are happening around us. People with control rules. As one of the speaker had said "Our country is now like a circus, and we are the clowns and animals in it. We are the slaves of the country." Does this hit you? We despite of races and religions work so hard everyday just to feed our circus masters. Don't believe it? Well, where does your income tax had gone? Some may said "I do not pay income tax so does that means I'm not the one feeding?" Wow, you are so wrong my mate. They are still charging you GST for buying goods and even for a movie!

"My mom once told me when I was a kid that I am a Malaysian Chinese, but when I grew older, I learned that I am not only a Malaysian Chinese but also a non-bumiputera. When I come into the real world I learned that I'm not only a Malaysian Chinese, a non-bumi, I'm also a non-muslim." I remember this sentence said by one of the speaker so clearly because it too touches my heart.

Although it had rain quite heavily just now, but this does not wipe off the spirit of the voters. Some run for shelters but some they still stay where they are. I can't even see the outdoor stage even though it's pouring!

So just a reminder guys, no matter where you are or what you are doing. The political status of the country does affect your everyday life. As you are holding a Malaysian Identification Card! I am so regret that I've missed the registring and lost a precious vote myself. For those who had already registered. Vote wisely for your future.
