Political Tusnami!!!

Yesterday may be the biggest event in 2008 besides the Beijing Olympics I guess. My whole family was in front of the monitor yesterday trying to get the latest results of the GE. Yup...it was a shock for all of us! The opposition manage to ruled FIVE states that includes Penang, Kedah, Selangor, Perak and Kelantan.

According to today's Newspapers, "The Barisan Nasional will form the next Government as it has won more than half the parliamentary seats. However, the coalition suffered some of the greatest defeats in its history. Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in accepting the results, said that this was clear proof of democracy at work in the country." Wow...people's power has already taken hold of the country's politics isn't it?

Besides loosing 5 states to the opposition, some of the long-term BN leaders also has been defeated. Among those were:

• Datuk Seri S.Samy Vellu (poor thing...yesterday was he's 72nd birthday~)
• Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil (she looks kind to me on tv..but still...she fails to remain her sit~)
• Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon (OMG...this is shocking! He's the former Penang CM!!! So Penang folks...be ready to welcome ur new CM...hehe~)
• Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin
