Day 3 - Labuan --> KK
After checking out, we had another round of duty free shopping at the jetty. It's really a chocolate heaven here. Everything here is so reasonably cheap! They even give out chocolate as free gifts! We had another freaking 3 hours ferry ride back to KK. It's less torturing this time, I slept through the whole journey! hehe~
According to our guide Elsa, we are suppose to take our dinner at the Filipino Market nearly. So, after putting all our luggage into Alex's Mom's car we walked our way there to get a better glimpse of KK town. Well, on our way we saw so call Sabah's Landmark. It was in the middle of a roundabout (ps: Sabah had really...really a lot of roundabouts! Unlike Malacca government who only likes traffic lights~). Yea, we stopped in the middle of no where just to take the picture of the fishy!
This too were spotted on the way. Notice anything wrong?
I noticed something along the way. Sabah government are really organised, in the sense that they really like to categorise things.
Our Sabah trip was quite a healthy one. Elsa keep on buying fruits for us!
Bangles are sold as low as RM1 per piece here...Syn and CheongHong manage to get a lot of them.
We shared the seafood as it wasn't that expensive.
Ikan bakar + Sotong bakar + Udang bakar + some sea grass thingy + rice for only RM50!
Me and Elsa bought ourselves each a native looking bag at a mall nearby and headed home! Oh yea, Elsa bought a batik too. You'll have a chance to see her in it later...haha~ The public transport in Sabah were quite cute. Most of them are vans instead of buses.
We took this 'bus berhenti-henti' back home. My goodness, when it says berhenti-henti, it's really berhenti-hentilol. Initially there were only a few of the locals in the bus, but when the bus driver drove into this kampung, people keep on coming up and down. Even IN the kampung people are taking bus! The bus stop? Elsa told us there isn't a bus stop in kampungs. People can just stop the bus at anywhere and anytime. If you want it to stop, just ring the bell, it stops IMMEDIATELY!
Aho meet us up that night. A few of us went for supper before recharging for the next day!
